Spring Cleaning

Ah yes! It's that time of the year again. That time of the year that represents Spring Cleaning.

Have you completed your list of spring cleaning projects? Did you include them in your schedule?

Spring-cleaning - the time when you clean things that only need once a year.

You can get into some very tough spring-cleaning when you really want to get into the nooks and crannies of your home.

You will find that you will notice dirt and grime in places that you never knew were even there. Getting this dirt once a year will help to keep the rest of your home clean and healthy for you and your family.

Spring-cleaning can be a one-person job or you can get the entire family in on the fun.

Most people like to start spring-cleaning from the top down. If they have an attic, they will start there and throw away anything that is not useful to them anymore.

They will straiten up a little and then start working their way down floor by floor. Hitting each floor with a major cleaning ritual. Dusting all of the woodwork, knick-knacks, pictures, and then wiping down all the walls and ceilings.

You can use an all-purpose cleaner in your bucket of water so that you are not constantly switching your cleaners and water. This will make the cleaning go a little smoother and faster.

After each floor of the house and all the rooms are cleaned from top to bottom, the floors are usually cleaned next.

Vacuuming and mopping can be done depending on the flooring type. After all of the upper levels are cleaned, the basement is usually next. Again this is where many people throw out the unneeded things and then clean it from top to bottom.

Getting all the cob webs and dead insects cleaned out will make your basement look new and clean again, for another year at least.

Once you have all of the major cleaning done, some people then like to start on another project. This may include cleaning out the garage or paying special attention to cleaning behind the stove or refrigerator.

There are so many things that you can get into it will depend on how much time you want to spend cleaning and scrubbing your home. However, it is worth the time and the effort once you are finished and have a clean and fresh smelling house to come home to.
