The first time I saw a pressure washer in action - I was working as a secretary at a Welding and Fabricating company.
It was a Friday afternoon and the guys in the 'yard', decided to clean the place up a bit using the pressure washer.
The noise first caught my attention - they were using a gas-powered pressure washer. No muffler.
It was great, the water spraying out of the gun at such high pressure. All the walls outside the building - the windows of my office - even the muddy tires of the company vehicles weren't speared.
Off course all I could think of after was...
Where could I get one of those?
If you've ever seen pressure washers in action I know that I'm not alone on this.
In fact, manufacturers are falling over themselves to produce pressure washers for homeowners.
Pressure washers are water machines which increases water pressure (measured in pound per square inch) and delivers it through a lance or gun or wand or however you choose to describe it.
Pressure washers use either cold or hot water or steam to clean.
You can get one that is gas or diesel powered or one that is powered electrically. (Because electric pressure washers are quieter and there are no fumes, it is the first choice to be used inside the home.)
The hot water and steam can effectively clean most surfaces with dirt, grease and grime.
When you use cold water in your pressure washer, it will effectively wash away dirt, debris, and even strip paint.
You can use a pressure washer to clean surfaces like metal, concrete, asphalt, stone, plastic and wood.
